This fern , growing in dry soil among the rocks above Rowley's Rapids, is quite unusual in appearance and texture. Its colouring is little lighter than most fern species. Growth habit is low and extremely dense with many fronds. Texture is oddly wiry and scratchy. Undersides of leaves are packed with many sori.
