I love the sparkles, and the trees in the background

Bill, you are correct about this photo, but more to the point I actually never thought of using the tree as a frame. It's an idea I'd like to explore. I pass this uninhabited area every day and will definitely try out your idea. Michael

Over all a nice capture. Especially of the light on the water which this theme is all about! I would have tried to set the foreground tree on extreme left as a Frame, but I suspect there was something distracting on the right side that prevented that?

Well, Helen stole what I was going to say about the wonderful contrast between the water and the silhouetted trees, so I will just add that I keep coming back to your photo because of the great detail in the background foliage. Amazing, really. --Nancy

Very nice contrast with the silhouetted trees in front of the brilliant water. Helen

Michael, nice capture of the shimmering effect of sunlight on water. I also like the background changes in shading/light as well as the composition/silhouetting of the foreground trees. (*) If this was mine, I might clone out that small dark spot lower right in the water...but it's really a minor thing. MFC
