The ladies at George's Chapel are teaching the children to sing. This saved Rev. Bascom Anthony because there was a terrible shortage of songs and music makers at the new church. And this was not the first time worthy women came to his rescue. He repaid their diligence and hard work by paying special tribute to them in his book about his ministry. George's Chapel was in old Irwin County but was part of the Jacksonville, Ga., Charge to which he was assigned in the early 1880's. His salary was quite small. [See article.]
