The Skoda factory was one of the main objectives of the German forces when they occupied Tsechoslovakia. The Skoda factory then produced abou one third of all tanks, guns and vehicles the Germans used during the war.
Today, to the dismay of many Czechs who remember, it is owned by Volkswagen. The Volkswagen was a Nazi invention, Hitler actually drew the first sketches of the VW beetle personally.
