This is our brand new baby boy, little Spencer. At birth he weighed seven pounds and nine ounces, and measured 20.5 inches in length. I took this photo with no flash,so I could capture some of his motion and his "squiggling" as the operating room nurse prepared to clean off the vernix, which is what is making him look so doggone white. I like the way the motion of his body is captured in this photo of him just about three minutes after his birth.
