The doctor did the "presentation of the baby to the mother" so rapidly that I didn't have time to back up....I shot this right off the stool where the anesthesiologist had seated me, immediately to the left of Jill's head as she lay flat on her back on the operating table. The baby is of course,still covered with the white,cheesy substance called vernix, and he's also a bit wet with amniotic fluid.
