With the town of Kalabaka below. It is also called The Monastery of Agios Stefanos. This is the the one monastery everyone goes to since it is the only one that does not require a big hike up a lot of stairs. On the far left, you will notice a little bridge that people can get to after a short slightly downhill walk from the parking lot. Completed during the 14th century, the Monastery of the Saint Stephen is one of the oldest existing of the Meteora monasteries. It is also the monastery with the largest number of inhabitants, 31 nuns as of December 2025.
