Your use of monochrome is absolutely perfect for all your shots, including this beautiful one. Everything stands out more when not imbued with the distraction of colour. Gorgeous work. VVV
The deep black block in the lower-left corner acts as a foreground frame. It could be a stone wall on the right bank, marking a sharp boundary between the street level and the embankment below, where the runner can be seen.
This black block serves to heighten the sense of depth; it also functions as a physical obstacle, making the viewer feel as though they are leaning over the edge to observe the runner, whom you have captured within a tiny triangle. The eye is then guided diagonally across the Seine and the Pont des Arts, toward the majestic dome of the French Académy. What a superb way to showcase the artistic architecture of Paris! ~VVVVV+++~
