Also known as Agia Triada, it dates back to the 14th–15th centuries (with historical records noting organization by around 1362–1438). It is famously recognized for its appearance in the 1981 James Bond film "For Your Eyes Only". That appearance is what brought Meteora as a whole to the world's attention. I know it did for me because after seeing that movie, I wanted to go there.
