This is the iconic Grand Hall, the very heart of the Potsdam Conference.
The massive round table covered in red cloth in the center was custom-built in Moscow by the "Lux" furniture factory specifically for this event and shipped to Potsdam.
The round shaped table was designed so that the three world leaders could sit as absolute equals.
There are three chairs with higher backs occupied by Harry S. Truman (United States), Winston Churchill (United Kingdom, later replaced by Clement Attlee), and Joseph Stalin (Soviet Union).
The miniature flags of the three Allied powers still stand in the middle of the table, exactly where they sat in the summer of 1945 to redraw the borders of post-WWII Europe.
