The Guira cuckoo is famous for its permanent "bedhead" look. Native to South America, this bird sports a distinctively shaggy, orange-rufous crest of long, scruffy feathers that stick straight up in the air. In fact, it is widely considered one of the scruffiest-looking birds in the wild ! Beyond their chaotic hairstyle, these birds are highly social, extremely noisy. You might have captured this one taking a break to rest up its throat. ~VVVVV+++
