Timeless Edinburgh

Edinburgh, Scotland

The "gardens of stone" tie the past to the present which is very appropriate for historical "Old Town" Edinburgh. Timeless is the best description I can think of for describing "Old Town" Edinburgh. The distant steeple is called "The Hub" which today serves as a public arts building in the center of Edinburgh at the top of the Royal Mile. At one time it was the Highland Tollbooth St John's Church and is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and was constructed between 1842 and 1845.

Another sublime view of this glorious city; I'd say 'timeless' is an apt way to describe it. VVV

So neat seeing the old part of town this way. It is certainly different looking from anything we have here.
