Rüdisbronn is first mentioned in historical records in 1158. The Gothic church was built in 1437 on the site of a former monastery that had been established around the year 1100.
By 1536, Rüdisbronn had already adopted the Protestant faith. The village has since been incorporated into Bad Windsheim and is a well-known wine-growing area.
