🚨 CNN, MS NOW AND POLITICO REPORTERS DENIED WHITE HOUSE ACCESS

On September 19, reporters from CNN, MS NOW—formerly MSNBC—and Politico were turned away from the White House after President Trump announced that he was barring the outlets over what he described as persistent “fake news.” Their credentials were reportedly deactivated or confiscated.

Trump said our country needs “honest news” and accused these organizations of publishing false or consistently negative coverage. The outlets of course deny those accusations and say they will challenge the restrictions as violations of their First Amendment rights.

This controversy raises two serious questions Americans should be able to discuss honestly:

Should news organizations face consequences when their reporting repeatedly omits context, blurs commentary with journalism or appears designed to advance a political narrative?

And should any president be permitted to deny White House access based on dissatisfaction with an outlet’s coverage?

Before the Left starts warming up its keyboards, I worked in Hollywood for years. What I personally witnessed opened my eyes to how stories can be carefully framed to promote particular cultural and political viewpoints. I eventually walked away from that world because I could no longer ignore what I was seeing firsthand.

I deal with thousands of Democrats on my page, and I’m regularly astonished by how differently people understand the same events. In my opinion, media outlets that selectively frame stories, bury context or mix political commentary with reporting bear significant responsibility for that division.

I believe these outlets need to clean up their act and return to accurate, complete reporting—not political conditioning dressed up in a press badge.

A free press deserves protection. It also deserves public scrutiny. If an outlet gets the story wrong, buries crucial context or mixes opinion with reporting, it should correct the record—not slap “BREAKING NEWS” on the spin and hope nobody reads beyond the headline. 😂

Journalism should inform people, not train them what to think. Americans deserve the facts, the full context and enough respect to reach their own conclusions.

Clean it up, report accurately and earn back the public’s trust. It really shouldn’t be this difficult.
