Comecos Cemetery

Granite, OK

Infrared.

The Comecos Cemetery is a collection of fake headstones (made of real stone) with epitaphs that range from the silly to the goofy to the groan-inducing. The funny, fake cemetery was originally created by a veterinarian and his wife, Dan and Eleanor Roberts, at their home and clinic in Wichita Falls, Texas. After he retired, the "cemetery" was temporarily moved to Iowa Park, Texas. He later decided to relocate it to Granite in Oklahoma, the town where the headstones originated from. The site was dedicated there on November 4, 2006.

A truly magnificent image!
A perfect subject for IR!
It is amazing to read all about it.
That was my favorite trip with you because Monique and Yvetta were there and Yvetta is still talking about it.

Three people, then, share the same sense of humor: Dr. Dan Roberts, his wife Eleanor, and Mr. Dan Greenberg, who provided this image—melancholy yet striking—of that roadside cemetery. If I ever have the chance to visit in person, I will lay a wreath on each headstone bearing the inscription: "RIP – Rise if possible!" ~VVVVV+++~

L'infrarouge est un bon choix pour cette photo, cela accentue le côté dramatique du lieu. V
