Portree is the largest town and also the capital of the Isle of Skye. It is a harbor front town known for its local seafood and also known for the vibrant colors of some of the waterfront businesses. Portree is also a photography favorite for visitors on the Isle of Skye. On the afternoon and evening we visited Portree, it was unfortunately cloudy, fairly dark and overcast. After a stroll through the town and some shopping, we had dinner and headed back to our rental house for the evening.
