This is a morning image of some of the marshy areas in the highlands. Snow on some of the mountains was something that was a huge surprise for us but added a wonderful element in photographing the highlands. With some of the marshy areas in the highlands, I was glad we were there well before the midges would hatch beginning in late May. If you like solitude, the highlands are a great place to find peace.
