Preparations for the Grand Prix race

The area near the US Capitol and around the National Mall is closed off in preparation for Trump’s Freedom 250 Grand Prix, scheduled to take place on August 23. The streets are full of barriers, police cars and National Guard Humvees, making it almost impossible to drive from one side of the city to the other.
