I have been growing under lights for over fifty years, starting with lovely pinkish Gro-Lux bulbs which are no longer available.
I've tried many other plant lights of verious colors and intensities and none of them have given me the results that the Gro-Lux bulbs did.
Through my membership in the Asheville Plant People Facebook group I learned about Barrina bulbs and ordered this one to test out.
Before it arrived I was very concerned about how I was going to connect it to my light stand (just a shelving unit from Lowe's or Home Depot). I shouldn't have worried because it came with everything I needed, along with other connectors to be used differently.
This year I'm going to concentrate on growing native pollinator seed so I can attract more butterflies and hummingbirds next season.
The four small plants are miniature trailing African violet "babies" started from leaves several months ago. The other is a phalaenopsis orchid. I used to have many more plants but unfortunately they would have been toxic for my cats which arrived this past January.
