The Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo is famous for housing a 17th century, rare historical fresco of Harpocrates.
The fresco is in the library and honors the god of silence, secrets and confidentiality in the Hellenistic religion, with his index finger pressed to his lips.
The library of the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo is located on the upper floor of the 11th century Benedictine complex.
It is part of the extensive upper-floor renovations, which include a 16th to 17th century fresco cycle featuring saints, theological virtues and classic philosophers.
