Ribe – Denmark's oldest town

Jutland, Denmark

Long before Copenhagen or Aarhus were even names on a map, Ribe was already alive. Founded around year 710, this little town on the west coast of Jutland was a bustling Viking trading hub — a place where ships from all over the North Sea came with glass, silver, furs, and fabrics.

What a beautifully preserved place...I love that the walls are not perfect or the windows straight. A superb photo, Marie. V
