Although Queenie is technically in quarantine until August 25 due to the puncture wound inflicted by an unleashed pit bull and its unidentified owner, animal control gave permission for her to resume going to the park with Tim on the weekends to get her fill of goodies from the Treat Lady.

The officer visited us earlier this week and fell in love with Queenie, saying she’d like to come back next week to see her again. Although we don’t know the attack dog’s vaccination status, she said it was clear that Queenie, who has been vaccinated, isn’t showing signs of rabies.

The animal control officer has visited the park hoping to see the pit bull owner, without success, but says they really need something concrete like a license plate number to identify the man. This has become more urgent since another dog was attacked by the pit bull the other day, receiving the same kind of puncture wound that Queenie suffered.
