There is a lot going on in this area near the star Deneb in Cygnus.
Lynd's Bright Nebula 380 is the central section of this "waterfall"
of red glowing hydrogen (other areas of the glowing cloud carry
other LBN numbers). The bluish oxygen-dominated area on the right of
the image is Sharpless 2-115. The bright orb above and left of
Sharpless 2-115 is Sharpless 2-116. This object has been the
topic of some disagreement. It has been designated as a planetary
nebula, then some astronomers decided it was actually an area
of emission nebula. and the current tide seems to be returning to
its identity as a planetary nebula. There is another
planetary nebula a bit left of center in the image, where you'll
see the blue-green orb. This dim object is designated We (for Weinberger) 1-10.
