My neighbor planted this monstrosity — some kind of squash — in the tree box in front of his house, which is taking over the sidewalk as well as the street. There used to be a small, young tree in there, but looks like that has disappeared. Residents are supposed to keep their tree boxes neat and tidy, but looks like my neighbor never got the message, despite the fact that he’s lived here for years.
