Hier, au plus fort de la vague de chaleur historique en France, ces deux personnes ont sagement pris place dans un centre commercial climatisé pour une courte pause. Elles reprenaient leur souffle tout en consultant leurs messages — c'était peut-être le seul endroit, ce jour-là, où l'on pouvait s'adonner confortablement à cette activité quotidienne indispensable. Le sol rayé noir et blanc ainsi que le grand siège blanc sur lequel elles étaient assises créent un motif visuel d'une agréable fraîcheur. Cette fois, le contraste ne vient pas des nuages, mais du sol. ~VVVVV+~ Yesterday, at the height of the historic heatwave in France, these two people sensibly took a seat in an air-conditioned shopping mall for a brief respite. They were catching their breath while checking their messages—perhaps the only place that day where one could comfortably attend to this essential daily activity. The black-and-white striped floor and the large white seat they occupied created a visually refreshing pattern. This time, the contrast came not from the clouds, but from the floor. ~VVVVV+~
