It is surprising to see these gentlemen still wearing down jackets on June 9th, considering that barely a few days later, a brutal heatwave would sweep across France... My deepest sympathies go out to those who lost their lives in this natural disaster.
Thank you Alain, for that large, warm, and eye-catching red sign. In the 19th century, the Folies-Belleville was a major hub for cabaret, café-theater, and music hall entertainment. The venue later became a center of political activity... Today, it is a laid-back brasserie that retains a culturally rich atmosphere. Apart from the large red panel, I love the way the outdoor light blends with the light behind the glass doors.
This area at the front is the busiest spot, renowned for people-watching. Although not crowded in the morning, the somewhat haphazard arrangement of these colorful chairs allows onlookers to imagine the atmosphere that prevails when the space is bustling with people.
