Rien ne prouve mieux le dévouement d'un photographe testant la sensibilité ISO d'un nouvel appareil que de sortir photographier dans la rue vers 4 h 30 du matin. C'était une idée judicieuse de choisir une tour d'horloge pour cet essai. Le fait que les réverbères ne semblent fonctionner que du côté opposé de la rue — créant ainsi des nuances d'éclairage variées — relève du pur hasard. L'éclairage paraît très naturel sur cette image, sans recours excessif au contraste ou à l'accentuation pour forcer un effet spectaculaire. Les bâtiments, les fenêtres et les voitures se distinguent nettement dans cette lumière douce. Un test réussi. ~VVVVV+~ Nothing demonstrates a photographer's dedication to testing a new camera's ISO sensitivity quite like heading out to shoot on the street around 4:30 a.m. Choosing a clock tower for this test was a smart move. It was pure coincidence that the streetlights seemed to be working only on the opposite side of the road, creating varied lighting nuances. The lighting in this image looks very natural, without relying on excessive contrast or sharpening to force a dramatic effect. Buildings, windows, and cars stand out clearly in the soft light.
