Casa Vicens belongs to an early period of the architect's work , but it already reveals an extraordinary imagination. The oriental influences are reminiscent of the Alhambra at times. The arcades, latticework , and craftsmanship create an atmosphere completely different from that of any other bourgeois residence of the time. Furthermore, the house was full of almost poetic details.
