Gaudí did not use the curved forms so characteristic of his architecture, but rather maintained the traditional application of the ruler and set square, that is, the straight line. This is evident in the building, which has different volumes separated by angles.
The exterior structure is highly original. The building has three facades with a series of sections, like buttresses, and others resembling tribunes or towers attached to the corners. Seen from the sidewalk, the building appears to grow outwards as it rises.
