I was looking out our back door yesterday when suddenly a cardinal landed on the railing of our deck with something to eat in its beak. I motioned to Tim to get my iPhone and slowly opened the iron gate, afraid that the cardinal would notice and fly away, but he just kept eating and let me get a few shots of him. He was the first cardinal I’ve seen around here in a long time!
