The former Town Hall (1903) was built in the Neo-Renaissance style. Architect: Gerhardus Otten.
Until the municipal reorganization of 1998, the building served as the official town hall of Ruinerwold. After the reorganization, Ruinerwold merged into the municipality of De Wolden.
After losing its municipal function, the building served as a business center for many years. In 2023, the building underwent a complete repurposing. It has been fully transformed and converted into a modern, gas-free apartment complex with 9 sustainable residential units. In doing so, the characteristic exterior and old details have largely been preserved.
