HARMEET DHILLON’S DOJ TEAM ARGUES IN NINTH CIRCUIT TO FORCE CALIFORNIA AND OREGON TO TURN OVER VOTER ROLLS
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon and her team just went to bat in federal court against California and Oregon for stonewalling voter roll transparency.
“The Ninth Circuit just held oral argument on two important cases under the Civil Rights Act of 1960 regarding both Oregon and California’s refusal of the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights Division request to get the voter rolls from each of these two states,” Dhillon said outside the Pasadena Courthouse.
The goal is clear: “So that we can help these states comply with the National Voter Registration Act and the Help America Vote Act.”
She introduced her team: “Andrew Braniff argued the Oregon appeal… David Goldman who just finished arguing the California appeal.”
Dhillon laid out exactly what’s on the line: “What’s at stake is the ability of the United States to exercise its right under the Civil Rights Act to obtain voter records and make sure that states are not violating the rights of citizens, refusing to keep accurate voter rolls under our federal voting statutes, and are just treating people fairly so that we can all believe in the outcome of our elections.”
Gavin Newsom and Oregon officials are fighting tooth and nail to hide their rolls. The Trump DOJ and Harmeet Dhillon are demanding answers and compliance — no more secrecy, no more excuses. Clean voter rolls or bust.
