Another undisclosed substitution by the landscaper.
Lovely plant that I really like.
Unfortunately, it spreads too wide for where it was placed. The bush encroaches on both the seating area and across the flag stone path. To keep the courtyard useable, this bush can't stay where it sits now. Hopefully, the landscaper will replace it with the correct variety. That variety "Snippet Dark Pink" is both on the CAD and on the work order. Nevertheless, it took me almost a year of complaining about the size of the above plant for the landscape designer to finally admit that this is a substitution. After several months of my noting that something is off & the plant just getting bigger and bigger, he has finally given me the name of what he actually did put in. As I said, Midnight Sun is a very pretty plant. It's just not size right for where it was placed. In a small courtyard, every inch counts.
