Early Morning In The Grassmarket, Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh, Scotland

During our visit to Scotland, I noticed some amazing black and white photos in some to the shops and restaurants we visited in Old Town Edinburgh. This image is another test shot with my new Sony RX100 Vll pocket camera. The majority of the early morning "crowd" is my son Paul, his family and my wife walking ahead.

One look at this photo I could recognize your grandsons from their backs. Normally I'm not a lover for black and white, but this photo is one of the most impressive. I particularly love the specular reflections on the pavement and the cobble stone street. ~VVVVV+~

Wonderful how that one bright store stands out, even with it's shiny reflection. Pays to get up early for a fine scene like this.

The monochrome really hits the spot an authentic down the street look and with lots of nice detail, shadow play and light. V
