I like the Canon RF 200-800 lens because it is so light-weight for a 800mm focal length zoom. I prefer not to use a tripod. Negative is the images at higher ISO become a lot more noisier.
However, if I put the same lens on a tripod, I can use a much lower ISO like ISO 800 and use a timer or remote release. The above image will be a lot less noisy, infact it will be clean at ISO 800 to ISO 8,000 on the Canon R6 MK2.
But I have become accustomed to just handholding my gear for convenience sake and live with the added noise. The R6 MK2 lets me get away with higher ISO images because it is a full-frame sensor with only 24 MP. It is a camera with a well known reputation for lower noise high-ISO.
