This aircraft was salvaged from a 1942 mountain crash on the Pacific Ocean island of Erromango
VH-HWK

Slight cross field wind across the airstrip picking up the port side wing on landing where 2 large hangars blocked the wind flow. Seemed to affect the Kittyhawks more than other aircraft
