Even beyond the big cities and larger gatherings, American citizens are speaking out.
This shows that people still believe collective action matters
When people stop believing democracy works, they stop participating.
When they stop participating, the system collapses quietly.
The fact that people are still willing to: gather, hold signs, chant, be seen
…means they haven’t given up on the idea that public pressure for the beliefs - from this country's origins - might matter.
Protests like NO KINGS don’t fix systems.
They don’t topple anything.
They don’t rewrite laws.
But they do tell us something important: People are restless enough to show up and speak out. That’s not trivial. Apathy is the real death of democracy. Noise means the democracy is still alive.
