2025 was a strange Summer.
This is just one of 11 pots with mysterious, self-planted flowers of varieties I haven't grown in years and/or have never grown before. Some of these plants have been flowering annuals that produce only sterile seeds. Those appeared in mid-March (when no other flowers were growing) after the pots were outside all Winter in prolonged below zero tempts. They defy the laws of horticulture science.

What started out as just Petunias in this particular pot has suddenly changed over the Winter into a pot full of the same hot pink color Calibrachoas, and now not hot pink petunias anymore. Last September, the same group of plants went through another stage with a Calibrachoa I'd never seen before in my life: https://pbase.com/britestar/image/175797613 But there were then also petunias still growing in this pot, too.

This pot and two of the other mystery calibrachoa are currently blooming indoors in my solar room. However, during all of 2024 and up until mid-November 2025, these 3 mystery pots all were only outside exclusively. Does anyone have a scientific explanation for what might going on??? I sure don't.
