The littlest cherry tree

Drive-by shot taken at the Tidal Basin, where hundreds of Japanese cherry trees are nearing peak bloom. This little tree reminded me of Stumpy, a resilient cherry tree that bloomed every year despite being ravaged by tidal flooding and became a social media sensation but was removed in 2024 due to seawall repair.
