Wind 3-15-26

The Bradford Blossoms opened today..

Shooting Conditions
were next to impossible with 35 mph sustained winds and gusts of 60 mph. The tempts went from 70 degrees yesterday to a 31-degree Fahrenheit high today. If I wanted any shots of my favorite tree in bloom for 2026, it was today or never. Try photographing a wildly waving tree branch of 1" flowers, and you'll see the challenge. That was no little breeze. The Low tonight is supposed to be 9-degrees F and not survivable for Spring flowers. No amount of photography skill can overcome that. Fortunately, there was this moment before the deep freeze.

Love how the blossoms flow through the frame.

What a happy sight for spring. Beautifully photographed - you grabbed the moment well. But I hope these survive the cold. VV
