This last image doesn’t shout, it whispers. It leaves us with elegance rather than extravagance — a reminder that in Venice, even the ending wears a mask of beauty....V
Perfect ending to a wonderful gallery. I also hope you come up with a new idea before next year’s Carnival. I will be sad if I have to wait that long to view your work. V
Superbe conclusion avec cette très belle compo avec pont, gondole, canal et ce magnifique personnage. Un grand bravo et merci de partager ces petites merveilles. VV
At the beginning of this gallery, Arnaldo greeted us under the arcades of St. Marco Square, dressed in a vibrant costume. Now, at the end, he bids us farewell on the banks of a canal, in black and white, a gondola waiting nearby. His mask displays a serene expression, and his casual gesture suggests he is announcing the end of a story — someone else's. In Venice, every February, people arrive and depart. They say hello, goodbye, and each returns home with the memory of Carnival, a memory to cherish for a lifetime. ~VVVVV++~
Seeing this superb picture in the more impacting monochrome I had the impression looking at Arlando of an Arlecchino - Harlequin, Pagliacci, by Leoncavallo's Opera personage. It is "The End" scene to a sophisticate Venice Carnaval picture gallery. I hope it is a "See You Soon" and not a "Good Bye" our highly valued photographer friend. Warm regards...
As I said before, I'm so sorry to see the end of this beautiful gallery. Your work is truly a delight to view, and I hope you come up with something new before next year's Carnival. V.
