Panagia Chrysafitissa is built in the lower town of Monemvasia and offers a unique view of the sea that you can stand and enjoy for hours. Panagia Chrysafitissa has been built at that point since the 17th century on the site of another, older church, Panagia Hodegetria. The church took its name from the nearby village, Chrysafa, which is located 15 kilometers east of Sparta.
