Is spring really on the way?

Just as much of the snowcrete has melted from the ice storm that hit DC three weeks ago, a snowstorm is forecast for Sunday and Monday. At least this time it should be snow, not ice, that covers the ground, much easier to deal with.

Waiting for spring to arrive, posted earlier:

Lovely capture of this hopeful beauty Helen…we had 4 inches of snow this evening and more on the way next week…but I think you always have Spring before we do…BV

Looks like the robin wants spring too. Too bad about the impending snow. We just dug out again from a blast yesterday of 11.6 cm (4.6 inches)

From this angle, his tail looks like a pair of slip-on shoes. Very funny. ~VVVV~

A fine shot of this robin, with its slightly ruffled plumage. V

Sure is a good sign ... a simple reason, they eat worms in the ground ... if there's snow, or the ground is frozen still, they can't eat! Superb shot here
