The Color Of The Water

Icefields Parkway, Canada

This image was photographed south of Jasper. The distinctive color of the water was pretty much a constant with the rivers we saw while traveling along the Icefields Parkway. At times the vibrance of the icy blue to aqua colors in the rivers was amazing.

The kind of shot that makes ya want to sit on the banks of that creek and soak in the view.

Yes, Dave, the color of the water in your photo is exactly the color as I remember, a light turquoise, very natural and no exaggeration, like your other landscape photos. Sometimes you see a slightly lighter or deeper shade depending on how sunny or cloudy it is, the time of the day, and if there's more mineral in that part of the Rockies. Your photos are a genuine report. ~VVVV~

a marvelous image portraying the character of the region...the rivers and lakes tinted by rock flour, as here, make it all the more attractive...V
