Entrance to the Castle

The Matthias Gate (Matyášova brána) is the primary historic entrance to Prague Castle,
connecting the first and second courtyards.
Built in 1614 for Holy Roman Emperor Matthias, it is a Baroque structure known for its role in the daily changing of the guard ceremony and as the entrance to the Presidential office.

Great juxtaposition of a real guard as to puppet-like figures in operettas outfit! V

Interesting contrast between the ceremonial guards and the full on action one with the yellow vest.

Good timing to capture the vehicle approaching. The guard on the left looks like a toy he's so stiff!
