Parasaurolophus

Parasaurolophus was a “duck-billed” dinosaur known for its distinctive hollow head crest, which scientists think might have been used to make distinctive sounds. It lived in what is now western North America, from Alberta to New Mexico. The model was made with driftwood, hickory nuts, cork bark, shelf fungus, elm bark and Indian redwood fruit.

Taken at the US Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display, this year titled ‘Season’s Greenings: Dino-Mite!’. Model trains run on several tracks around the exhibit area.

Excellent capture. I like how much bigger it appears compared to the trestle. V

This one looks very friendly. It's interesting to see a dinosaur's back looking like a railroad. Nice framing ! ~VVVV~

I was never really into dinosaurs, like some kids were, but I always liked this one. Nice capture.

Nice. I captured almost exactly the same moment in the Botanic Garden on camera on Monday, with the same kind of lighting!
