Conwy Castle, River and Bridge

Conwy, Conwy County

The castle was built by King Edward I between 1283 and 1287 and formed part of his ring of castles along the coast of north west Wales designed to keep the rebellious Welsh population in check! The modern road bridge was built in 1958.

Impressive castle beautifully photographed. Had to chuckle at Edward 1 trying to keep the Welsh in check. Cymru am byth! V
