On the top of the facade, over the gilded statue of Bishop Absalon, there's the Coat of Arms of Copenhagen.
There are many versions of Copenhagen's coat of arms due to artistic interpretation and the evolution of its design over centuries.
The current coat of arms was officially granted in 1661 by King Frederick III, but this grant allowed for variations in its depiction.
The two towers on the left and right represent castles built by Bishop Absalon.
The one in the middle was originally a church, with a knight holding a bow in the arch. The church later became a tower too.
