Linz, The Black Elephant

We were told this restaurant was named after the Black Elephant that was brought to Linz many, many years ago.
Apparently, it didn't live too long because they didn't know what to feed it.
They had it on a diet of sausages and it didn't set well with the poor elephant.

A terrific composition with a rather compelling story attached. One does wonder about the two chaps flanking the unfortunate elephant.

Linzer Torte would have been better for the poor Elephant to survive! Great find and shot! V

a curious tale behind the poor pachyderm...even more curious are the two gents apparently dancing in the buff..
