A Sad Scene

I think she was just acting.
The dog was up and looked fine the next time we walked by.

The scene and the moment are very well captured and your interpretation seems appropriate.

It is sad. I hope she got what she needed to survive. V

Agree with you, Jane, that she was just acting. The bowl said it all. The dog was a good actor during their "office hours". When you saw them the second time, the dog was up and looked fine, probably it was the time to go home. The dog had to walk on his feet. ~VVVV~

C'est sûrement son meilleur soutient dans la vie qu'elle semble mener pour l'instant ! j'espère qu'elle s'en sortira ! v

It is a sad scene you captured but to me the bowl farther out in the street is a telltale sign of an act. Glad you saw the dog on it's feet after this.

It looks like the dog is much loved, and good to hear it was fine when you saw it again. V.
